


When condensing logarithms, our goal is to compress the expressions altogether by using different logarithmic properties. Condensing logarithms are helpful when were given a long logarithmic expression haring similar bases. The next section will show you how condensing logarithms is the opposite of expanding logarithms.

We will learn later how to change the base of any logarithm before condensing. For our purposes in this section, condensing a multiple of a logarithm means writing it as another single logarithm. It is important to remember that the logarithms must have the same base to be combined.
